This month, senior associate Myriam Tawadros joins the esteemed jury for the 2024 DesignTO Awards. The DesignTO Awards, supported by KPMB Architects, reward design excellence at the DesignTO Festival, Toronto’s annual celebration of design as a multidisciplinary form of creative thinking and making.
Every year, the Festival highlights the work of hundreds of exceptional designers from around the world, showcasing a diverse array of furniture, lighting, graphic and experiential design, interiors and architecture, accessories, ceramics, and more.
Since joining the firm in 2002, Tawadros has been a key contributor to beautiful, sustainable, and innovative projects. Tawadros’ portfolio comprises urban, residential, and institutional projects, including Ryerson University’s Master Plan, SugarCube in Denver’s historic district, and two Governor General’s award winners — Project Grand Jeté for Canada’s National Ballet School and The Joseph L. Rotman School of Management Expansion.
Recently, she completed the renovation of the prestigious Park Hyatt Toronto and is leading the team designing residential projects for Kindred Works, an organization reimagining housing in Canada.
