KPMB has been named one of Toronto’s best architecture firms by Architizer, a global platform for architecture and design that hosts one of the world’s largest online community of architects.
Ranking number two on a list of 25 architectural practices chosen for demonstrating “architectural excellence,” Architizer recognized us for our contributions to improving people’s lives through the built environment and highlighted our diverse collection of projects.
Projects like the Royal Conservatory TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning / Koerner Hall, a renowned cultural centre that has twice received the Canadian Architect Award of Excellence, as well as a Governor General’s Medal in Architecture — one of Canada’s highest honours; the multi-award-winning Center for Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University, the university’s first LEED Platinum building and one of Boston’s largest operationally fossil fuel-free building; and the Downsview Framework Plan, one of the most significant city-building opportunities in North America focused on reimagining the future of 520 acres of airfield as a sustainable, pedestrian-friendly residential and commercial district.
The Downsview Framework Plan recently won a National Urban Design Award and is currently shortlisted for an AZURE AZ Award.
