On Tuesday, August 31, ULI Toronto hosts an exclusive virtual tour of the Bay Adelaide Centre’s North Tower. The project team, including KPMB’s Bruce Kuwabara, will take you behind the scenes and through the development’s journey of resilience and perseverance.
The final chapter in the story of this masterplan development block, the North Tower will realize the vision for connectivity and placemaking in the financial core that has been over 30 years in the making. At 32 storeys with a 9-storey podium, the tower stands 139 meters above ground and joins the KPMB-designed East Tower and Podium (pictured) and West Tower (by WZMH) on the downtown skyline.
The North Tower features direct access to the underground PATH network at concourse level, four levels of underground parking and connectivity to local amenities. During construction, the project team has maintained the operations of the existing complex and public areas. Targeting LEED Platinum Core & Shell certification, the tower features a glazed curtain wall with metal panel envelope system, best-in-class operational and life-safety systems, including Enwave’s Deep Lake Water Cooling.
