KPMB partners and friends were very sad to hear of the passing of our longtime collaborator and communications angel, Janet Elizabeth Conover (1927 – 2020). During Janet’s incredible 35-year career with Arts and Communications Consultants (ACC) she “helped bring the King Tut exhibit to Canada, introduced the country to Maud Lewis, and escorted the likes of Paloma Picasso and Henry Kissinger around Toronto”. Janet adored KPMB and never stopped promoting and challenging us.
In 2018 Janet invited Marianne McKenna to present her work on the Massey Hall renovations to the residents of The Dunfield Retirement Residence. In 2017, Janet generously donated the treasured Sohmer piano which was her Father’s, composer Charles N. Grant (1887-1937), and which travelled from New York to LA and back to New York, finally landing in Toronto at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, one of KPMB’s clients. From those of us who knew Janet for over three decades, we miss you and your great love, always joyful, challenging and supporting us to do better.
