The Center for Computing & Data Sciences and Scotiabank North Flagship have won BLT Built Design Awards in the Architectural Design – Educational and Interior Design – Workplace/Office categories, respectively.
The BLT Built Design Awards celebrate the outstanding creativity and expertise of architects, designers, and construction innovators from around the globe.
This year, over 800 entries were received from 57 countries. Winners were chosen by a jury of 31 leading professionals, media experts, entrepreneurs, and academics from the fields of architecture and design for addressing today’s urban challenges with fresh perspectives and powerful solutions.
The Center for Computing & Data Sciences is a landmark for Boston University and the city of Boston. It realizes the University’s goals to establish a teaching and research facility to showcase its rigour and excellence in data science; support the core fields associated with the interdisciplinary study of computing and data sciences; meet ambitious sustainability targets; and create a dynamic addition to their campus and the city’s skyline.

A new flagship location for one of Canada’s largest financial institutions, the Scotiabank North interior was developed in close collaboration with Scotiabank’s design team, employees, and a group of consultants. It represents a holistic approach to modern workplace design and sets new design standards for the bank, establishing a scalable model for its future offices and influencing its global workplace strategy.
