Shirley Blumberg joins THE PLAN Awards jury for 2026

KPMB founding partner Shirley Blumberg is serving on the jury for the 2026 edition of THE PLAN Awards.

Organized by the Italian architecture and design magazine, the annual awards program recognizes excellence in architecture, interior design, and urban planning across more than twenty categories.

The international jury features 23 leaders in architecture and design, including architects, academics, curators, writers, and editors.

Last month, the jury gathered to evaluate more than 1,000 submissions in both completed and future project categories. The winners and honourable mentions will be announced later this fall at an in-person awards ceremony.

Shirley has significant experience serving on awards juries and design panels. She was previously a juror for the AZURE AZ Awards and the World Architecture Festival (WAF). She has also been a member of design review panels for the City of Toronto and Toronto Community Housing.

Throughout her multi-decade career, Shirley’s work has been recognized by leading international awards programs, including the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Honor Awards, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) International Awards, and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) Governor General’s Medals in Architecture.
