KPMB staff recently headed south to the Jackson-Triggs Estate winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake for our annual summer party. The day was, above all, dedicated to sipping wine and enjoying sunshine, but it was also a chance to revisit past work: KPMB designed the 45,000-square foot winery more than 24 years ago.
Members of the project team, including Mitchell Hall, Marianne McKenna, and Glenn MacMullin, led staff on a tour of the building, whose simple form was inspired by the region’s agrarian traditions. The building unites production facilities and hospitality spaces under a single roof supported by full-span wooden trusses.
