Determining the winners of the 2025 Holcim Foundation Awards is underway, with the North American jury recently gathering in Chicago to evaluate submissions.
KPMB founding partner Marianne McKenna is one of six industry leaders judging this year’s North American awards.
Chaired by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang, the jury is composed of accomplished architects, engineers, and sustainability experts, including Snøhetta founding partner Craig Dykers, AKT II co-founder Hanif Kara, Lafarge Canada vice president Tina Larson, and Climate Positive Design founder Pamela Conrad.
Submitted projects were assessed according to a range of criteria, including contextual responsiveness, environmental sensitivity, social impact, and economic feasibility.
“Participating in the 2025 Holcim Foundation Awards was an opportunity to review the high standard of transformational architectural and landscape projects underway in North America and support the Holcim Foundation’s recognition of projects that combine sustainable design and construction with architectural excellence,” says McKenna.
The winners of this year’s awards will be announced in November at the 2025 Holcim Foundations Awards Ceremony in Venice, Italy.
