On April 8, KPMB director of people and culture Laura Alexim will offer practical advice to emerging architects about how to get hired and develop professional networks. “Beyond the Resume: How to Stand Out in Your Job Search” is presented by Becoming Architects Canada (BAC).
The webinar was conceived in response to the influx of generic, AI-influenced resumes now received by hiring teams. The session will explore how candidates can develop memorable applications and strategically approach their job searches in the current market.
As the person responsible for hiring at KPMB, Alexim will share insights into what makes an effective resume in 2026, touching on common mistakes and how candidates can articulate more than their technical skills. She will also speak about the importance of networking for early-career architects and share advice for internationally-trained professionals looking to build their careers in Canada.
Alexim will be joined by presenter Vered Klein and fellow panellist Amanda Poll, talent acquisition manager at WalterFedy Group.
Becoming Architects Canada (BAC) is a non-profit that advocates for and supports individuals working towards licensure in Canada, including intern architects, foreign-trained architects, and RAIC Syllabus program participants.
