TimberFever, a design-build competition for architecture and civil engineering students, is back for its ninth year. KPMB is proud to be a sponsor, supporting the next generation of architects and designers.
Presented by Moses Structural Engineers and held at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), TimberFever encourages hands-on learning, collaboration, and creative thinking. Participating students are organized into teams and tasked with designing and constructing a small structure with timber over three days.
Special guests, experts, and mentors guide and advise the teams so they can build the best solution for the design brief, which remains a secret until the first day of the competition.
This year, TimberFever runs from September 13-15. The finished structures will be presented to a jury of professional architects and engineers and displayed at TMU. The structures will also be available online for public viewing and voting at TimberFever’s virtual village.
