Digital Practice Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Digital Practice Coordinator who shares our passion for architecture and design. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing and overseeing BIM techniques and methodologies for project teams. This individual will serve as a BIM coordinator within the Digital Practice team, supporting the maintenance of office and project BIM standards while contributing to the creation of architectural Revit models.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the latest digital practices to support design teams in creating and developing accurate 3D parametric models using Revit software.

• Maintain efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day BIM production activities and other modeling practices.

• Engage with project teams weekly to understand their BIM needs and maintain communication with the office through office-wide emails, group training sessions, and new tool presentations.

• Participate in testing and deployment of new tools and technologies.

• Assist Project Managers & Model Leads with BIM project setup.

• Provide comprehensive Revit support, including emergency support.

• Maintain and review Revit standards and procedures, ensuring consistency in architectural drawings.

• Assist in onboarding new staff regarding the BIM process.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of company BIM templates, graphic standards, and family libraries.

• Perform multi-discipline coordination using BIM techniques and clash detection tools.

• Generate project-specific custom Revit families and content as needed.

• Demonstrate knowledge of BIM and CAD standards and best practices.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field, coupled with relevant experience;

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit software is required;

• Proficiency in Autodesk software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3DS Max;

• Experience with BIM 360, Revizto, Enscape, and UNIFI is considered an asset;

• Familiarity with Rhino and Sketchup is considered an asset;

• Knowledge of computational and parametric design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo) is considered an asset;

• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks;

• Able to communicate effectively and possess a helpful and collaborative approach;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Reporting Structure:

• This position report to the Director of IT.
